Maude Bernice Ronquille

Maude Bernice Ronquille, 88, of Port Acres, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015.
Preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jessie Paul Ronquille, Sr.; parents, W.A. Ryman and Hulda McCary; 4 sisters; sons-in-law, Gorden Bean and John Hagen; daughter-in-law, Paula Ronquille; and grandson, Devin Taylor.
Survived by her children, Mary Lou Hagen, Jessie Paul Ronquille, Jr., Chester Joseph Ronquille and wife Velma, Denise Ann Bean, Phyllis Karen Thibodeaux and husband Troy, David Allen Ronquille and wife Margaret; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, W.A. “Sonny” Ryman, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bernice was a loving mother and devoted wife. Her numerous interests and talents were enjoyed and treasured by many. She loved to crochet, sew and garden and was a master of all. Music was a big part of her life. Whether singing in the St. Catherine’s Choir, playing piano or listening and dancing to her favorite oldies. Her multitude of paintings and sketches reflect her love of the outdoors but her yard was her living masterpiece. She loved to travel and enjoyed numerous trips to the mountains. Her welcoming personality made her home the gathering place for family and friends as well as a safe haven for many kinds of pets. After raising her children in the Catholic faith, she converted to Catholicism in her widowhood.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10:00am  at Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, 6412 Garnet Ave, Port Arthur, Tx 77640 with Fr. Rejimon George celebrant. Rite of Committal to follow at Memory Gardens.
