NED SENIOR LINE: Time to sign up for defensive driving

NEDERLAND — If you are interested in defensive driving class, please call  Diane at 727-5230.  The AARP class will be held on May 28th from 8-11:45 a.m.
We are still busy making hats for our ongoing service project.  The ladies are now making hats for the seamen and also for M.D. Anderson, the Cancer clinics and nursing homes.  So if you have any yarn to donate, please drop is by the center.  Thanks to all who have donated yarn.  If you attended Art in the Park last Saturday, you could see where some of the yarn was used…the trees were decorated with crotched items. Thanks to Diane for making them look so pretty.
Monday is Bingo day and games are played daily.  Wednesday is traditional quilting day and the other days, the craft ladies are busy making items to sell in our gift shop.  The men are busy playing pool daily.  So you can see there is something for everyone to participate in so come on down and see what fits your fancy.
The Nederland Senior Citizen Center is located at 914 Boston Avenue in Nederland.
The center is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday and lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. If you would like a nutritious lunch, please call Diane at 727-5230 so she can order a lunch for you since reservations are required.
You can just come have a cup of coffee and a snack and visit with an old friend or make a new one.  Hopefully we will see you real soon.
