Lloyd Wayne “Boss” Miguez age 69 passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at his residence. “Boss” was born on November 30, 1944 in Port Sulphur, Louisiana to Lloyd Miguez and Zola Peltier Miguez Potter. “Boss” was a resident of Port Arthur and Groves for the past 60 years. He retired as a boilermaker with over 25 years of service at Burton Shipyard. “Boss” was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. He was past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus #3491 and was a 3rd degree. “Boss” was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson class of 1965.
“Boss” was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Eunice ”Dimples” Miguez of Groves, son, Brian and wife Lillian Miguez, daughters Donna and husband Stephen Cole, Paula and husband Terry Brickerd all of Groves sister, Billie Gear of Tennessee, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson with internment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
