Charles Ray Dyson

   Charles Ray Dyson, 63, of Port Arthur, Texas died Sunday, February 28, 2010.

   Charles was born October 2, 1946 in Port Arthur to Carl Lee Dyson and Mary Balismo Dyson. He was a lifelong area resident and was a retired rigger and pipefitter from Texaco refinery. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and OCAW Local 4-23. He was a U.S. Marine Corp and U.S. Navy veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a graduate and avid PNG INDIANS fan and the family request that visitation attendees to wear purple rather than sending flowers.

   Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Reverend Chuck Bradford officiating.

   Burial will be in Taylors Cemetery in Peogoda, Texas at 2:00 p.m., Friday.

   A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

  Charles was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, James Vernon Dunaway; brothers, Tim Dyson and Vernon Dunaway; and son-in-law, Kevin Shearman.

   Survivors include his first wife, Carrie Trevino and second wife, Yvonne Dyson Marze; three daughters, Rene’ Dyson Shearman of New Orleans, LA, Toni Dyson Lynch and husband, Rusty of Oregon, Rosanne Dyson Sullivan and husband, James, Jr. of North Carolina; son-in-law, Gene Robbins; three sisters, Brenda Dunaway Olge, Kathy Louviere, Theresa Sue Perry; three brothers, Larry Dyson and wife, Sherry, Michael Dyson and wife, Pam, James Dunaway and wife, Betty; seven grandchildren, Heather Webb and husband, Daniel, Kyrie Robbins, Brady Robbins, Corey Robbins, Jaycie Sullivan, Jimmy Sullivan and Jarod Sullivan; great-grandson, Jayden Webb and step-granddaughter, Haleigh Bush.
