PORT NECHES — Rental property owners can rest easy because the worries associated with their properties no longer have to be theirs alone.
Leslie Symmonds and Patricia Puma want to be the ones who stress over payments, conditions of properties and other concerns that come along with owning a home or business.
The women are the force behind the new business, Ace Rental Management, located in Port Neches that will provide all types of services to property owners who simply do not have the time to manage their rental property.
With 20 years of rental property management, Puma said moving to Port Neches in July was perfect timing to meet up with Symmonds, who is co-owner of Ace Real Estate with her husband.
“My experience lets me look beyond the initial stresses and know how to financially maintain properties,” she said. “It’s a step by step process and I can maximize owners’ investments and protect it with our services.”
For the past 15 years, Symmonds and her husband have managed their own rental properties. The couple have also had to turn down calls from potential clients who wanted them to watch their properties.
“We didn’t have time for others until now,” she said. “With Patricia here we realized that these businesses go hand in hand with what we do and we want those people back.”
The female duo said their meeting earlier this summer was fate after a mutual acquaintance introduced them. Combining their knowledge of real estate and property management, the women are ready to face the growing need related to housing and the industrial expansions.
“There’s a big need with the industry’s growth and we’ve gotten calls from people all over the country who want to buy land here and let us manage it for them,” Puma said. “There’s a need in this area and people know that.”
Puma said through the business, clients can choose three levels of service, depending on how involved they want Ace Rental Management to be.
“There are things involved with managing a property that owners don’t know and I want to offer what I know and give them some relief,” she said.
Ace Rental Management has only been open for two weeks and the owners are positive about the response.
“The ball is rolling and soon we’ll see it snowball, but we’re still taking more clients,” Symmonds said.
