A man mowing a vacant lot in the 2800 block of Concord made a gruesome discovery and immediately called the police at 11:53 a.m. Monday.

When officers arrived at the scene they found a badly decomposing body which was partly skeletal. Officers on the scene could not determine whether the body was that of a male or female. Detectives were called to begin an investigation.

Judge Dollinger was called out and ordered an autopsy. The body will be taken to the Jefferson County Morgue.
