PORT ARTHUR — Motorcyclists, Coast Guard and members of the Hamshire-Fannett Fire Department along with the public are gathered at Jack Brooks Regional Airport to pay tribute to fallen soldier Anthony Maddox. The plane carrying Maddox has arrived. Somber silence as the casket of Maddox is unloaded. A faint cry can be heard as a woman is helped into the hearse.
The hearse is now pulling forward as the procession will carry Maddox through the area where onlookers can pay their final respects to the soldier.
Sgt. Anthony Maddox, 22, form Port Arthur died July 22 in Landstuhl, Germany, from injuries sustained in a non-combat incident in Andwar, Afghanistan as previously reported by The Port Arthur News.
