PORT ACRES —
Medola “Mae” Rose Guillot, 84, of Port Acres passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. Mae was born March 1, 1928, in Morse, Louisiana to the late Eris and Theresa Hargrave.
Mae is described by her family as a loving wife, a patient devoted mother and proud grandmother. Her life purpose was her family and her church. Mae was a member of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church in Port Acres and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was very active in her church and volunteered her time at the Hospitality Center. She will be greatly missed by many in her family and her community.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Eula Mire, and brother, Roland Hargrave.
Mae is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ivy Joseph Guillot, sons, John Guillot and his wife Lucy of Groves; Mark Guillot and his wife Mary of Port Neches; daughters, Barbara Baker and her husband Gary of Paige, Texas; Patricia Delgado and her husband Frank of Killeen, Texas; Shantelle Guillot Trevino of Port Acres; brothers, Wilson Hargrave and Ray Hargrave both of Louisiana; sisters, Dorothy Bruce of Port Neches; Rita Landry of Louisiana; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013, at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, Port Acres with Rev. Rejimon E. George, C.M.I., officiating. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Crowley, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, Port Acres.
