PORT ARTHUR —
Martha Ann Mayon, 68 of Port Arthur died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Oak Groves Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur she was a member of Sacred Heart-St. Mary Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Mayon, Martha Alexander Brouchet (mother), Vincent Briscoe (father), Louise Arceneaux Laday (mother), Seaforce Laday (father), Rose Nezy (aunt), and Marcus Richard (godson).
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Latasha Mayon (Jerome), Joseph Mayon (Audrey), Lytoria Mayon Patton (James), Joetta Mayon (Jacob), Alvin Mayon, Mary “Tina” Mayon-Johnson (Michael), Darlene Mack (Nathaniel), Barbara Thomas (Kenneth), Shanna Phillips, Angela Reno Brown (Johnny Ray), Demetra Board Moten (Jeff), Tamara Richard and Calvin Delafosse; her siblings Vincent Briscoe, Jr., Ruby Martin, Bernard Haynes, Mary Louise Thibodeaux, Horace Keys, Wayne Keys, Diana Richard, Mary “Gee” Mayon, Graland Briscoe, Tammy Briscoe, Erica Briscoe, Bessie Prevost, Loyce Morgan, Faye Hines, Ulton “Yoke” Mayon, Sr. and Philoman Mayon; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; special friends, Jonathan Charles and Shelton Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Sacred Heart-St. Mary Parish Church with a viewing from 8 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
