John “Herman” Villemez passed away on August 16, 2013 in Conroe, TX.
Herman was born in Sulphur, LA on November 13, 1923 to Lawrence & Valerie Villemez. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Norman, Joe “Bake,” Raymond, and Lawrence “Coon.”
Herman married Jeannine Williams on January 26, 1946 in Anahuac, TX. They were married for 66 years, and resided in Groves, TX.
Herman was a WWII veteran who served with the 455th Bomb Group and the 740th Bomb Squadron.
He retired a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Beaumont, TX.
He enjoyed cooking, woodworking, refinishing antiques, and was an avid sports fan.
Herman is survived by his wife, Jeannine Villemez, two children, Deborah Eldridge of Conroe, and Mark Villemez and wife Beth Villemez of Groves. He is also survived by his grandson, Jonathan Eldridge and fiancée Trezlynn Evans of Conroe, and granddaughter Victoria Mueller and husband Matthew Mueller of Nederland, along with numerous members of extended family.
A Memorial Service for Herman will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Groves, TX on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.
