BRIDGE CITY —    Wanda Smith, a long time resident of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in the care of Vitas Hospice in Houston, Texas.  She was 88 years young.

    Wanda was born in Dallas, Texas on August 22, 1924 to parents Henry Olive Smith and Addie Bynum Smith.  Her family relocated to Port Arthur, Texas in 1926.

    Wanda graduated from Port Acres High School and Port Arthur Business College.  She worked for the Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur for more than 25 years.

    She is survived by sister, Janis Smith Landry and brother-in-law Clifton Landry, Jr. of Houston, Texas, brother H. O. Smith and sister-in-law Carol Smith of Arvada, Colorado, and many loving nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her sisters Pauline Smith Badger, Evelyn Smith Donnell, her parents Henry and Addie Smith and her best friend Gertrude “Jackie” Loeffler.

   A family memorial service is scheduled at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches on April 20th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
