PORT ARTHUR —
Ida Levine passed peacefully from this life the morning of July 9th after a gradual decline in health at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.
Ida was born in Abbeville, Louisiana July 11, 1924 to Elvira Capdeville and Garfield Maze, Sr., but has lived in Port Arthur for 56 years. She married her husband Lloyd Levine on October 13, 1950. She was a dedicated minister of Jehovah Witnesses and was baptized in 1976.
Ida is survived by husband Lloyd Levine; three children, Doris L. Mason of Missouri City, TX, Alfreda L. Williams of Houston, TX and Lloyd P. Levine (Tammy) of Port Arthur, TX; six grandchildren, Cornelius Darby, Dante Williams, Kristine Lyles, Jermayne Williams, Andre Williams and William Mason; six great-grandchildren Ashley Williams, Devante Williams, Mika Washington, Joycelynn Darby, Krishna Lyles and Andre Williams, Jr. Ida is also survived by two brothers Rev. Henry L. Maze, Robert Lee Maze and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Elvira C. Joiner, father Garfield Maze, Sr., her sisters Lourella Lange, Evirigia Woods- Wright, Velma Maze, Louise Guidry; her brothers Cuba Maze, Robert Maze, Garfield Maze Jr.
Visitation is Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Gabriel Funeral Home, 2500 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 3:00. Location: Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2615 Memorial Blvd., Port Arthur, TX 77640.
