PORT ARTHUR —
Gertrude Cain Paul Wykoff Foster, 79 of Port Arthur passed on April 4, 2013. Gertrude was born in Waxia, Louisiana to Reverend Alfred Cain and Elvira Bannister on February 9, 1934.
She was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. Gertrude was self-employed for many years.
She was a Seaman for over 15 years and a Cosmetology Instructor for Port Arthur College. She served as the President of the Madonna’s Civic and Social Club and was an active member of the Port Arthur Beauticians Club.
Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband, William Foster, both of her parents, Elvira and Alfred, step-mother, Albertha, and her son, Eddie Quinn Paul.
She leaves to cherish her memorie her grand-daughter LaTasha Paul, great grand-son JaCoby Brocks, seven brothers; Roosevelt, James, Jack, Maurice, Dale, Eldridge, and Melvin, and a host of family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on April 13, 2013 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 5848 Roosevelt Avenue, Port Arthur; visitation will begin at 9AM and service at 11AM.
