Doris Muriel Hardin, 94, of Colmesneil, formerly of Port Acres, passed away Monday, February 04, 2013 in Beaumont surrounded by her family.
Doris was born to the late Robert Bean and Mary Westbrook Bean in Magnolia Springs on March 27, 1918.
Doris is described by her family as a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother to her family.
Doris had an amazing memory that left a lasting impression on everyone who ever met her. She enjoyed scrapbooking, visiting the senior citizen home and sharing the history of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by many.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, husband of over 60 years, Henry M. Hardin, son, Henry M. Hardin, Jr., and 4 grandchildren
Doris is survived by her sons, Wayne “Mud” Hardin of Groves; Cecil R. Hardin and his wife Cathy of Port Acres; Calvin J. Hardin and his wife Faith of Dayton; daughters, Winnie Camp of Oakwood; Carolyn Broussard and her husband Bruce of Colmesneil; Emily Benoit and her husband Willie of Colmesneil; sister, Arlene Clark of Woodville; 15 grandchildren, 30 Great-grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Nederland.
