Waymon Bearden, 58, of Port Acres, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at his residence. Born August 17, 1954, in Port Arthur, he was the son of Lula Victoria Loncon Bearden and Clyde Willard Bearden. He was a United States Navy veteran and was an automobile mechanic. Waymon enjoyed music, playing the guitar, computer games, fishing and camping. His family and friends considers him to be one of a kind.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Marie Mathis of Port Acres; children, David Bearden of Beaumont, Heather Bearden of Port Neches, Tonya Bearden of Port Acres, Dustin Bearden and his wife, Melissa, of Orange and Courtney Bearden of Port Arthur; stepsons, Billy Mathis of Victoria and James Broussard of Beaumont; mother, Lula Victoria Bearden of Port Acres; brothers, Terry Bearden and his wife, Dorine, of Port Acres; Allen Bearden and his wife, Margie, of Orange; Claude Bearden and his financé, Cindy, of Port Neches; sisters, Janice Blackwell of Fannett and Melanie Wilson and her husband, Nate, of Port Neches; twelve grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Waymon was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Bearden; grandparents, Clyde and Kate Bearden, Corine Fells, and Allen Loncon; and grandchild, Chason Lange.
A gathering of Mr. Bearden’s family and friends will begin 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
