Port Arthur Police responded to a home invasion robbery in the early morning hours of Friday, August 2 after receiving a report that two people had broken into a home and a shot had been fired.
At approximately 4:12 a.m. officers spoke with a man in the 1300 block of 11th Street about a home invasion robbery. The victim told police that two people entered the home and woke him with a handgun, demanding his wallet.
The man complied with the robbers but as he moved toward a bedroom door, in an effort to prevent the other people in the home from walking into the incident, the suspect fired the gun.
The suspects fled the home utilizing a rear door, continuing to flee on foot.
The victim provided descriptions of the suspects which were then broadcast to officers in the area. At this time police have no one in custody.
