PORT ARTHUR —
A long running feud between two men ended in one of them being shot and treated at Christus St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur Tuesday night.
Port Arthur police officers arrived at the hospital close to 7 p.m. to find a gunshot victim, who was able to give the location of where he was shot and named a suspect.
According to information provided by PAPD, the man said he was shot while at Port Arthur Park Apartments, 1348 Jefferson Drive.
After giving a statement to police, the shooting suspect was arrested for aggravated assault and brought to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility to await arraignment on Wednesday.
The gunshot victim was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth with what police said was a possible life-threatening injury.
Officers were able to recover the firearm used in the incident, the report said.
