The Jefferson County Commissioners’ Court unanimously appointed Port Arthur attorney Langston Adams to the judgeship vacated by the death of John Paul Davis at a meeting on Monday.
Adams, 39. will take over as Judge of County Court at Law No. 3, after Davis, his mentor, died Feb. 10.
A Port Arthur native, Adams graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1992. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in administration supervision and secondary education, both from Xavier University in New Orleans.
Adams received his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio.
