Person robbed at knife-point outside Mall

PORT ARTHUR — A person reportedly giving a ride to an acquaintance was robbed at knife-point outside Central Mall on Thursday.

Police responded to the aggravated robbery at about 9:19 a.m. April 4 in the 3100 block of FM 365. The victim had reportedly given the acquaintance turned suspect a ride to the mall when the suspect pulled a knife and demanded money, according to a press release from Port Arthur Police Department. The victim complied and gave the suspect money.

Officers converged on the scene and located the suspect at 3200 Turtle Creek Drive. The person was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. The victims possessions were recovered. No injuries were reported.
