Groves Police calls, April 9 through April 15

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from April 9 through April 15



Wednesday, April 9

• A red TroyBilt tiller, valued at $100, was stolen from the 5000 block of Griffing Court.

• Debit card abuse was reported by a citizen of charges of more than $83 were made without consent.

• A 22-year-old female was arrested on outstanding justice of the peace warrants in the 2900 block of Main Avenue.

• A 47-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the area of Graves and 32nd Street after a call of a possible intoxicated person.



Thursday, April 10

• While on routine patrol in the area of Center and Montrose, an officer made a traffic stop and the driver, a 35-year-old male was arrested for a city ordinance of  possession or ingestion of certain prohibited substances, and the passenger, a 38-year old male, was  arrested for outstanding City of Port Arthur warrants.

• A disturbance was reported in the 3000 block of South Drive.

• A disturbance was reported in the 5900 block of Baird.

• A disturbance was reported in the 2500 block of Little John.

• A disturbance was reported in the 6100 block of Cove.

• Criminal mischief of more than $300 was made to two of the tires on a red 2007 Dodge Caravan in the 6400 block of Madison.

• While on routine patrol on FM 366, an officer stopped a suspicious person and the 22-year-old male was arrested for possession of marijuana.

• A 45-year-old male was arrested for possession of marijuana after he was topped for a traffic violation in the 3900 block of Twin City Highway.



Friday, April 11

• A disturbance was reported in the 5200 block of Lincoln Avenue.

• A disturbance was reported in the 6700 block of 25th Street.

• The theft of batteries was reported in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.

• The theft of a debit card was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

• A 21-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 3200 block of Maple after officers were called to a disturbance.

• A 25-year-old male was arrested for aggravated assault and resisting arrest in the 6500 block of Washington.



Saturday, April 12

• A juvenile was reported as a runaway in the 4500 block of Wilson.

• Jewelry, television sets, meat, checks and other house items were stolen from the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

• A 23-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 4600 block of Twin City Highway.



Sunday, April 13

• A 57-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 3100 block of 32nd Street.

• Copper wiring was stolen from the 3700 block of West Parkway.



Monday, April 14

• Two crystal ornaments were stolen from a house in the 4700 block of Inwood.

• A vehicle parked in the 5000 block of 32nd Street was struck by another vehicle that left the scene.

• An Xbox was stolen from the 6300 block of Verde.



Tuesday, April 15

• A 29-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 3700 block of Pure Atlantic Road.

• A purse, Garmin GPS, and a RCA portable DVD player were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Boyd.

• Tools and tool boxes were stolen from the 4900 block of Simpson.

• A credit card and driver’s license were stolen from the 4400 block of Gulf.

• Marijuana was located in the 5200 block of Wilson.

• A Playstation 4 was stolen from the 3700 block of Lincoln.

• A fraud report was made after the victim send more than $2,000 to purchase a boat over the internet.
