Lloyd Christian, 53, of Port Arthur died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He was a native of Port Arthur, TX. He was employed by Time Warner Cable as Director of Technical Operations in the Golden Triangle. He was an employee of Time Warner Cable for 28 years. He was the owner of Affordable Lawn and Tractor Service. He was a member of The Kingdom Hall of The Jehovah’s Witnesses Port Arthur North Congregation, where he served as Ministerial Servant and Assistant Service Group Overseer. He was baptized June 24, 1989.

Services will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Gabriel Funeral Home with Jay Jennings officiating. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Matthews Christian, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jody Christian; 1 daughter, Brooklynn Christian; 4 sons, Brice Christian (Sheena), Akeem Scott (Aquita), Lloyd Keith Gipson, all of Port Arthur and Johnathon Gipson of Austin, TX; mother, Josephine Watson of Port Arthur; 1 brother, Matthews Christian, Jr. (Carolyn) of Port Arthur; 6 sisters, Darlene Goudeaux and Linda Charlot (Donald), both of Port Arthur, TX and Jeanetta Hawkins (Phillip) of Beaumont, TX, Vanessa Wiley (John) of Missouri City, TX, Tracey Mitchell (D.J.), and Barbara Coco (Shuntel), both of Houston, TX; 5 grandchildren, Cameron Christian, Carter Christian, Zya Scott, Natayla Gipson, and Chelaya Gipson, all of Port Arthur; 2 sisters-in-law Chelsie Jones of Beaumont, TX and Vicki Jones (Terrance) of Cypress, TX, and a host of other relatives and friends.
