Charles “Chuck” Walker

Charles “Chuck” Walker, 65, of Nederland, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016. He was born on September 15, 1950, in Beaumont, to Ethel Wagner Walker and Daryl Leroy Walker.

Charles was a United States Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He retired after thirty-seven years of service from Exxon Mobil as a boilermaker/welder. Charles enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a lifetime NRA member. He will be remembered as a man of steel with a heart of gold.

Survivors include his sons, Chad Walker and his wife, Emily Faulk, of Port Neches and Darrell Walker of Nederland; grandchildren, Brandon Walker, Alyssa Walker, and Andrea Dean; great-granddaughter, Eva Walker; sisters, Carolyn Jean Mazzola of Bevil Oaks; Bobby Joe Murphy and her husband, Lee, of Silsbee; Lois Davis of Beaumont; and Ann McCallion of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alton Burrous; and sister, Billie Nordstrom.

A memorial service for Mr. Walker will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Cremation arrangements will be under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
