Collins shot 50 percent from the field and three-point range and 93.8 percent from the free-throw line.

“Addesha has been putting together some big games,” LU coach Robin Harmony said. “She is playing the way a senior should play.”

Collins, who is 28th in the nation in free throws made with 105, was also honored as the conference’s player of the week by CollegeSportsMadness.com. She is the first LU player to earn women’s basketball player of the week honors this season.

The Cardinals (10-13 overall, 6-6 Southland) return to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday when they travel to Houston Baptist for a Southland Conference game. The next home contest is 7 p.m. Feb. 18, when Stephen F. Austin comes to the Montagne Center.
