Port Arthur Police responded to the following calls from Nov. 3 through Nov. 11:

Tuesday, Nov. 3

  • Multiple pairs of Nike Air Jordan shoes, miscellaneous clothing and a laptop were stolen from a home in the 300 block of West Ninth Street.
  • A Glock Model 27 .40 caliber pistol and approximately $30 were stolen from a home in the 7900 block of Oakmont Drive.
  • Promotion of gambling was reported at Bagz and Giftz, 3800 Gulfway Drive.
  • A person was arrested following a burglary of a home in the 2000 block of 15th Street.
  • A person used four counterfeit $20 bills to pay for a purchase at Celectronics, 4941 Gulfway Drive.
  • An assault was reported at Southwood Crossing Apartments, 3901 Texas 73.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Ninth Avenue Station Apartments, 7225 Ninth Ave.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Trinity Avenue.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Cedar Ridge Apartments, 7631 Ninth Ave.
  • A home in the 7900 block of Honeywood Trail was burglarized.
  • A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 4100 block of Lewis Drive after officers found two torn up Newport cigarettes dipped in what officers believe to be PCP.

Wednesday, Nov. 4

  • Aggravated assault-family violence was reported in the 2100 block of 13th Street.
  • A diamond necklace with white gold chain and heart and 4130 in cash were stolen from a vehicle in the 5900 block of Pine Street.
  • A person was arrested for trespass in the 1200 block of Ninth Avenue.
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass-failure to identify fugitive from justice at Port Arthur Park Apartments, 1348 Jefferson Drive.
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass in the 1200 block of Ninth Avenue.
  • Child abandonment was reported after someone left a 17-month child in the emergency room at the The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, 2555 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
  • A 12-pack of Miller Genuine Draft Beer and one Gammo .177 caliber air rifle were stolen from a building in the 6000 block of Cherry Avenue.
  • Coins were reported stolen from a vehicle at Chuck’s Automotive, 4300 Sheppard Ave.

 

Thursday, Nov. 5

  • Burglary of a vehicle was reported at Crystal Creek Apartments, 8111 Honeywood Trail.
  • A person was arrested for evading detention at Port Arthur Townhomes, 3501 Turtle Creek Drive.
  • Felony assault-obstructing airway-family violence was reported in the 1100 block of Nederland Avenue.
  • A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, in the 2400 block of 63rd Street.
  • A backpack was stolen from a vehicle at Central Mall, 3100 FM 365.
  • A vehicle stolen out of Beaumont was recovered in the 3800 block of Texas 87.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Crystal Creek Apartments, 8109 Honeywood Trail.
  • A 2008 Chevrolet Corvette was stolen from the 7800 block of Regency Drive.
  • A person stated her mother received a major injury while under the care of Cypress Glen Nursing Home, 7200 Ninth Ave.
  • A 47-inch Samsung Smart TV, 17-inch Lenovo all-in-one computer, iPad mini, Verizon LG tabalet, Murry push lawnmower, Troybilt weed eater and Husky tool box containing Cobalt tools were stolen from a home in the 3600 block of Procter Street.
  • A Lorance Navigation System Elite 5 Chirp, dive tank, West Marine binoculars, pair of dive slippers and tool box with miscellaneous tool and pipe wrenches were stolen from a sailboat at Pleasure Island Marina, 500 Pleasure Pier Blvd.
  • Two people were arrested for the theft of six HDX invisible shield screen covers for Samsung Galaxy S6 phone, two HD invisible shield screen covers for a Samsung S6 Edge cell phone, Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth ear piece and one Lifeproof phone case, total value $358.36, at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.

 

Friday, Nov. 6

  • Several storage units were burglarized at Affordable Glass/Arcade Mini Storage, 5249 Gulfway Drive.
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported on 25th Street after a person was stabbed. The victim did not want to talk to police about the incident.
  • A person was struck by a vehicle at Speedy Mart, 600 W. Gulfway Drive.
  • A person was arrested for failure to identify/giving false information at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
  • Deadly conduct was reported in the 8800 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • A person was arrested for the theft of $240.74 in merchandise at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
  • A person removed money from a cash register at Lowe’s Home Improvement, 8383 Memorial Blvd.
  • Aa assault was reported at Louis Manor Apartments, 1300 Joe Louis Ave.
  • A counterfeit $100 was passed at Gulf Credit Union, 2779 Aero Drive.
  • A number of items were stolen from a building in the 900 block of Rosedale Drive.
  • A window unit was stolen from a home in the 2400 block of Sixth Avenue.
  • A missing person was reported in the 1200 block of Main Avenue.
  • A motorcycle stolen out of Groves was located in the 3400 block of 15th Street.
  • Aggravated assault was reported in the 400 block of 18th Street.

 

Saturday, Nov. 7

  • A 2010 Mazda was stolen from Avery Trace Apartments, 3940 FM 365.
  • An Xbox game system, PlayStation game system, Sanyo stereo system, Frigidaire deep freezer, ceramic space heater and two window units were stolen from a home in the 2500 block of Sixth Street.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 2100 block of 11th Street.
  • While transporting a suspect to jail from the 1600 block of Liberty Avenue following a call of a disturbance, an officer found 0.3110 ounces of marijuana left in the back seat of the patrol car.
  • Assault-family violence was reported at Louis Manor Apartments, 1300 Joe Louis.
  • A home in the 4100 block of Willowbend was burglarized.
  • A home in the 400 block of Trinity Avenue was burglarized.

 

Sunday, Nov. 8

  • Ten-inch Kicker speakers inside a gray homemade box, JBL 500 watt amplifier, $10 in coins and an unknown amount of men’s clothing were stolen from a vehicle in the 1700 block of 18th Street.
  • A counterfeit $20 was passed at Grizani’s Pizza, 3100 FM 365.
  • Endangering a child was reported at Southwood Crossing Apartments, 3901 Texas 73, after two children, ages six and two, were left alone without a responsible adult on scene.
  • Failure to identify-giving false/fictitious information was reported in the 3000 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • State jail felony theft was reported at Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy. after someone broke into a cash drawer and took money.
  • A pink purse containing a pink wallet, bank cards and driver’s license were stolen from a vehicle at Heatherbrook Park Apartments, 7804 Heatherbrook Trail.
  • A person was arrested for failure to identify fugitive from justice following a disturbance at P&T Super Stop, 1148 Woodworth Blvd.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 2800 block of 29th Street.
  • Assault-family violence was reported at Cedar Ridge Apartments, 7631 Ninth Ave.
  • Burglary of a coin operated machine was reported at Speedy Mart, 6600 W. Gulfway Drive.
  • A residence at Stonegate Manor Apartments, 4239 turtle Creek Drive, was burglarized.
  • Terroristic threat was reported in the 1100 block of James.
  • An assault was reported at Ross Dress for Less, 8825 Memorial Blvd.
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 2100 block of 19th Street.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Taylor Bayou Bridge, 3300 Texas 73.
  • A person was arrested for tampering with physical evidence after eating three pieces of crack cocaine while being interviewed by police at the police station.
  • A person was arrested for theft at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.

 

Monday, Nov. 9

  • Sexual assault-family violence was reported in the 3100 block of 18th Street.
  • A person was arrested for assault-family violence at Timber Creek Apartments, 3601 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 3000 block of 26th Street.
  • Shoes, rims and tires were stolen from a home in the 5100 block of Fifth Street.
  • A person was arrested for failure to identify fugitive in the 2800 block of FM 365.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at EZ Pawn, 3427 Twin City Hwy.
  • Several items and cash were stolen from a home in the 1700 block of 18th Street.
  • A Texas handicapped placard was stolen from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Trinity Avenue.
  • Terroristic threat-family violence was reported at Prince Hall Apartments, 914 W. 14th St.
  • A juvenile was arrested and transferred to the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Detention Center in Beaumont for assault causing bodily injury to a family member at DeQueen Elementary School, 740 DeQueen Blvd. The 10-year-old female suspect had previously pushed the assistant principal down a few days earlier.
  • An assault was reported in the 2200 block of 62nd Street.
  • Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 2200 block of 62nd Street.
  • An employee at Main Stay Inn and Suites, 7648 Memorial Blvd., was robbed at gunpoint. The suspect was wearing a blue hoodie with a blue bandana covering his face. He left on foot and ran to a vehicle in an adjacent parking lot with cash, a wallet and iPhone 6.
  • A cash register was stolen during a burglary at Kevin Rico’s Seafood and Oyster Bar, 3148 Gulfway Drive.
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass at the U.S. Post Office, 345 Lakeshore drive.

 

Tuesday, Nov. 10

  • Retaliation was reported in the 2200 block of 62nd Street.
  • Telephone harassment was reported in the 4100 block of Fourth Street.
  • A person was arrested for failure to identify fugitive in the 900 block of Richmond Avenue.
  • An armed man dressed as a woman robbed a clerk at Bags and Giftz, 3800 Gulfway Drive.
  • Aggravated robbery was reported at B.J.’s Food Store, 1201 Seventh St.
  • An assault was reported in the 2200 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Rosedale. Officers found 28 pounds of suspected synthetic marijuana, two hand rolled cigars believed to be synthetic marijuana and digital scale.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 11

  • A .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun, 32-inch Vizio LED TV, Vizio brand LED TV between 42 and 45 inches, Toshiba brand laptop and assorted liquors from a home in the 600 block of 19th Street.
  • A 43-inch Vizio LED TV was stolen from a home in the 1600 block of 14th Street.
  • A person involved in a traffic accident was found to be under the influence of a narcotic in the 3000 block of 11th Street.
  • A 2006 Ford Taurus was stolen from Texas Roadhouse, 8575 Memorial Blvd.
  • Someone struck a parked vehicle at Texas Roadhouse, 8575 Memorial Blvd. and left the scene.
