Fire damages vacant Groves home

A house fire was reported in Groves on the 5000 block of Monroe Blvd on Tuesday, Dec 3. 

The Groves Fire Department reportedly received the call around 6 p.m from locals.

The house was reportedly abandoned at the time of the fire. The fire damage was mostly contained to the garage and no other nearby buildings where damaged.  There are no injuries reported at this time.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
