Santa’s helpers were out and about shopping recently in hopes of making this Christmas a merry one for some less fortunate.

Local attorney and member of the Port Neches Police Officers Non-Profit Lance Bradley, along with Board Member Aaron Tabor, two Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game wardens and one trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety were among those shopping for the Blue Santa program.

They were busy at Walmart on Twin City Highway late last week stocking up on toys.

Bradley said this is the second year for the association to take part in Blue Santa, adding they got off to a great start last year and are going to have another great year this year.

The group hopes to continue to grow the program.

This year they are assisting 150 children.
