To commemorate the opening of the new Port Neches location, Dollar General plans to donate 100 new books to a nearby elementary school to benefit students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade, according to a news release. In partnership with the Kellogg Company, it will be part of a planned donation of more than 60,000 books in fiscal 2022 across the country to celebrate new DG store openings.
The newly opened Dollar General on Port Neches Avenue in Port Neches is expected to employ approximately six to 10 people, depending on the individual needs of the store. (Mary Meaux/The News)
