SCHOOL UPDATES MONDAY: Lamar State reverses course by canceling classes Tuesday in Port Arthur
Lamar State College Port Arthur reversed course Monday, first announcing that school would resume Tuesday only to later say school would be canceled Tuesday and resume Wednesday.
A statement from Public Information Coordinator Gerry L. Dickert said “After further consideration and in light of the continued power outages across Port Arthur and Southeast Texas, Lamar State College Port Arthur is closing its campus and canceling classes on Tuesday, October 13.”
If possible, plans are to re-open campus and resume classes on Wednesday (Oct. 14).
Due to continued power outages across our area, all classes are canceled at Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies STEM School in Port Arthur and Orange on Tuesday (Oct. 13).
