Port Arthur tax office closing Thursday, Friday due to illness & decreased staffing
The Port Arthur Tax Office will be closed Thursday and Friday, July 23–24, due to illness, according to information from Jefferson County officials.
Jefferson County Tax Assessor/Collector Allison Getz made the decision to close the Port Arthur office due to decreased staffing “while we await test results.”
The Port Arthur office is expected to reopen Monday (July 27) with normal business hours.
The Beaumont and Mid-County offices are open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. serving the public, as well as automobile dealers and financial institutions.
