BEAUMONT — The following individuals were indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury earlier this week.

  • Chris Joseph Balsamo, 56, of Beaumont was indicted for felony theft for an incident that occurred March 31.
  • Cory Wayne Balsamo, 50, of Beaumont was indicted for felony theft for an incident that occurred March 31.
  • Rodney S. Figueroa, 46, of Beaumont was indicted for injury to an elderly individual for an incident that occurred May 22.
  • Thelma Kay Gilbert, 40, of Groves was indicted for credit/debit card abuse for an incident that occurred Feb. 4.
  • Thelma Kay Gilbert, 40, of Groves was indicted for credit/debit card abuse for an incident that occurred Feb. 2.
  • Philip Terrell Grant, also known as Popa, 33, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an incident that occurred Jan. 29.
  • Scott Charles Hughes, also known as Charles Scott Hughes, 36, of Orange was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred Oct. 15.
  • Audra Marie Johnson, 44, of Nederland was indicted for felony theft, aggregation amounts, for incidents that occurred from on or about April 28, 2014 to on or about March 19, 2018.
  • Allen Wayne Laden, 26, of Vidor was indicted for felony theft with prior theft convictions for an incident that occurred Nov. 3.
  • Clarence William Lee, 40, of Houston was indicted for aggravated assault for an incident that occurred June 12.
  • Devan W. Lewis, also known as Devan Wade Lewis, Davon Lewis Lewis and Chase Dean Knox, 29, of Vidor was indicted for burglary of a building for an incident that occurred April 8.
  • Paul Mac Malone, 42, of Tyler was indicted for unlawful possession of a firearm by felon for a incident that occurred Feb. 1, 2019.
  • Justin Wesley Patterson, 29, transient, was indicted for retaliation for an incident that occurred Feb. 10.
  • Justin Wesley Patterson, 29, transient, was indicted for evading arrest/detention use of a vehicle for an incident that occurred Feb. 10.
  • Justin Wesley Patterson, 29, transient, was indicted for assault on a peace officer for an incident that occurred Feb. 10.
  • Justin Wesley Patterson, 29, transient, was indicted for harassment of a public servant: correction or detention facility for an incident that occurred Feb. 10.
  • Ryan Lowell Rogers, 26, of Beaumont was indicted for aggravated assault for an incident that occurred Feb. 12.
  • Romisque Sims, also known as Romisque Jerway Sims and Rominsque Jerwayn Sims, transient, was indicated for burglary of a habitation for an incident that occurred March 4.
  • Bruce Patrick Smith, 50, of Groves was indicted for aggravated assault for an incident that occurred June 7.
  • Kevin Thomas, also known as Kevin J. Thomas, 42, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, phencyclidine, or PCP, for an incident that occurred Jan. 26.
  • William Scott Tincher, 43, transient, was indicted for unauthorized use of a vehicle for an incident that occurred Feb. 23.
  • Brian Paul Turner, 45, of Beaumont was indicted for unlawful possession of firearm by felon for an incident that occurred March 26.
  • Joseph R. Woods, 31, of Beaumont was indicted for unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material for an incident that occurred March 15.
  • Brayant Steve Arevola, 28, of Beaumont was indicted for aggravated assault for an incident that occurred May 18.
  • Odessa Armstrong, 62, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an incident that occurred Feb. 1.
  • Michael Logan Ashmun, 27, of Nederland was indicted for assault on a peace officer for an incident that occurred April 28.
  • Benny Frank Belton, 40, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an incident that occurred Jan. 21.
  • Kevin Blanchard, 51, of Port Arthur was indicted for arson, habitation or building or vehicle, for an incident that occurred June 26.
  • Alisha Marie Chambers, 44, of Port Neches was indicted for driving while intoxicated with child passenger for an incident that occurred April 1.
  • Keyaeiro S. Cook-Johnson, also known as Kayaeiro Cook- Johnson and Keyaeiro Shenell Cook-Johnson, 30, of Port Arthur was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred Jan. 31.
  • Daaiyah Davis, 20, of Beaumont was indicted for aggravated assault for an incident that occurred May 24.

An indictment is not a final conviction of guilt; it is only a ruling by the grand jury that allows the district attorney’s office to proceed with a criminal case.
