Nederland Police seek help in theft of trailer

NEDELAND — Nederland Police are asking the public’s help in the theft of high dollar trailer taken earlier this week.
On Tuesday at approximately 7 a.m. a 14-foot Big Tex Dump Trailer was reported stolen from the 3600 block of Avenue D in Nederland. The trailer has a hydraulic lift, according to police.
“The trailer was at the residence and the individual pulled up,” Det. C.W. Bradberry said. “We believe it (trailer) did not have a tongue lock on it.”
The trailer did not have a license plate on it at the time of the theft, he added.
The suspect vehicle is a 2008 to 2013 model black Chevrolet truck.
Bradberry said police believe the truck made the block before the theft and is asking residents in the 3400 to 3600 block of Avenue D to see if they have any additional camera footage of the truck.
