More than three dozen new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Port Arthur, Port Neches and Groves on Tuesday, health officials said.

The City of Port Arthur Health Department received confirmation of 28 additional Port Arthur residents who tested positive for coronavirus Disease.

These individuals include 16 females, with the youngest age range of 15-20 and the oldest between 70 and 75.

The other individuals include 12 males, the youngest between 10-15 and the oldest between 65-70.

This brings the total to 281 Port Arthur residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 since testing started in Port Arthur.

Also Tuesday, the Port Arthur and Jefferson County Health Departments received confirmation of five additional positive COVID-19 cases in residents of Groves.

The individuals include two females between the age range of 50-55.

The other individuals are males between the age ranges of 45-50, 50-55 and 55-60.

This brings the total to 59 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Groves.

The health departments also received confirmation of seven additional Port Neches residents who tested positive for coronavirus.

The individuals include four females, two females between 30-35; one each between 40-45, and 45-50.

The other individuals are three males between the age ranges of 10-15; 15-20; and 60-65.

This brings the total to 50 Port Neches residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 since testing began.
