New COVID-19 case closes Jefferson County’s Mid County tax office
BEAUMONT — Jefferson County’s Mid County Tax Office is going to be closed next week.
Assessor-Collector of Taxes Allison Getz said an employee in the Mid-County office, located at 4605 Jerry Ware Drive in Beaumont, tested positive for COVID-19.
“They just tested for peace of mind,” Getz said. “No exposure or symptoms. That office will be closed next week for cleaning and will reopen the following week, assuming the outbreak is limited.”
