PAPD, Spindletop team up for homeless outreach Friday morning
The Port Arthur Police Department and Spindletop are teaming up Friday to bring assistance to the local homeless population.
Det. Sadie Guedry said Spindletop MHMR requested the partnership.
Officials with each organization will perform outreach efforts with the homeless population from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Hospitality Center, 3959 Gulfway Drive, and at the 1000 block of 9th Avenue underneath the metal awning on the eastside of the roadway.
Spindletop selected the two locations to feed the homeless and pass out essential hygiene products.
Spindletop will also provide information on how to obtain Mental Health Assistance.
