Jimmy Batiste, 88, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Friday, June 12, 2020 at Gulf Health Care Center.

A native of Chatagnier, LA, he was a longtime resident of Port Arthur and retired from CA Turner Construction Company with 45 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Armatine Batiste; his wife, Edna Batiste; four sisters and three brothers.

Jimmy is survived by two daughters, Shirley Bryant and Betty Woods; two grandchildren, Sonja Pannell and Terest Pete; six great-grandchildren; nine siblings, Rogers Batiste, Rodney Batiste (Mary Jean), Paul Batiste, Elsie Mitchell-Jones (Tommy), Eva Haywood (Sammy), Calvin Batiste (Mary), Betty Batiste, Karen Ardoin (Tony), and Joseph Batiste; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
