Port Arthur, Mid-County see double-digit coronavirus jump Wednesday

There was a double-digit jump in confirmed local COVID-19 cases Wednesday in Port Arthur and Mid-County, health officials reported.
The total number of confirmed cases reached 147.
The City of Port Arthur Health Department received confirmation of eight additional Port Arthur residents Wednesday who tested positive for coronavirus. These individuals include four females, one from each of the following age ranges: 20-25; 35-40; 40-45 and 55-60.
There were four males, one from each of the following age ranges: 0-1; 25-30 and two from the age range of 35-40.
This brings the total to 112 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Port Arthur.
The Port Arthur and Jefferson County Health Departments also received confirmation of one additional Nederland resident who tested positive for coronavirus — a female between the age range of 20-25.
This brings the total to 21 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nederland.
In Port Neches, two additional residents tested positive on Wednesday.
Both individuals are males between the age ranges of 35-40 and 60-65.
For confidentiality purposes, the health departments are not releasing any additional information to identify this individual.
This brings the total to 14 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the City Port Neches.
