School officials said she started sharing plans with staff to leave the district a month ago.

A full release and details about the departure and accomplishments is expected to be released following Thursday’s school board meeting.

Perez is widely known as one of the hardest working, most passionate individuals in the educational field.

Top administrators with the district, and on the school board, said they preferred to defer comment on Perez’s resignation until the school board meeting makes things official.
