Shots fired at moving vehicle in Port Arthur, 1 arrested

A Saturday night shooting at a moving vehicle in Port Arthur resulted in one arrest, authorities said.
According to the Port Arthur Police Department, complainants told officers they were shot at while driving in the 2900 block of 5th Street at approximately 8:36 p.m.
The complainants said they saw a male remove a handgun from his waistband and fire twice in their direction, striking the vehicle once.
One of the victims “was able to positively identify” a male suspect, who was later located and arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Port Arthur Police Department did not immediately release the name of the suspect or information on possible shooting damage or injuries.
Officer Ahmaal Bodden said the case has been forwarded to CID for follow up investigation.
