Mrs. Caldonia Carter Jones passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the age of 85 years old.

Caldonia moved to Port Arthur in the late 1930’s, she remained a resident of Port Arthur until she was called home.

Caldonia attended Lincoln High School with class of 1955 afterward she attended Praire View University.

Caldonia was a Insurance Agent for many years as well as a homemaker, who loved to cook and bake.

Sister Caldonia was a devoted active and faithful member of Barnes Memorial UMC.

She loved God and her Church, she served as an usher and president of the UMW and remained faithful until her health failed.

Caldonia was preceded in death by her parents, Alger and Calener Carter; 6 brothers Peter, Curley, Israel, Joe, James, and Albert Carter; one son Herbert Guidry, Jr.

Cherishing her memories are two daughters, Marilyn Carter, and Sharon Carter of Port Arthur, TX; two brothers Ronald (Rhonda) Carter, of Port Arthur, Donald (Mary) Carter of St. Louis, MO; six grand children, 8 great-grand children and a host of family and friends.

A viewing will be Friday June 5, 2020 12noon to 1:30 pm at Hannah Funeral Home, Port Arthur, TX.

Graveside service will follow 2 pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
