NEDERLAND — Students of Nederland ISD are celebrating their final day of school with parties, celebrations and parades.

Graduating seniors will kick-off a weekend of commencement today with the Bulldogs on Boston drive-thru parade at 7 p.m. on Boston Avenue.

A video screen outside the Nederland Police Station displays the names and faces of Nederland High School graduating seniors.

Students will line up in the asphalt parking lot in front of Bulldog Stadium facing Detroit Avenue at 6:45 p.m. The parade will end at the baseball field parking lot.

All students must remain inside the passenger compartment of their vehicles.

Students are not permitted to ride in the bed of pick-up trucks. No trailers, floats or golf carts are permitted.

All community members are invited to attend the event while practicing safe social distancing.

The Nederland High School marquee congratulates seniors who will graduate Friday at Ford Park Arena in Beaumont.

Following the processional, students will stay parked for senior sunset. Parents are not permitted to stay for senior sunset.

Prior to the graduation parade, each elementary campus will host drive-thru celebrations.

Helena Park and Hillcrest Elementary drive-thru farewells start at 5:30 p.m.

The Langham Elementary “Aloha” themed wave goodbye starts at 5:30 p.m. from Helena down 12th St.

Highland Park will host a glow party at 8:30 p.m. Parents must enter from the Nederland Avenue side of the circle drive and exit on the far end by the playground.
