NEDERLAND — Nederland Police are searching for a man who exposed himself to a woman at a laundromat before fleeing the scene.

The public lewdness occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. May 22 at a laundromat in the 2100 block of FM 365 in Nederland.

A woman was doing laundry when a man, who police said she did not know, walked inside and began to masturbate in front of her.

She told him she was going to call the police and he ran outside, Nederland Police Chief Gary Porter said.

A man in the parking lot saw the interaction and confronted the suspect, who fled.

No one else was inside the business when the incident occurred and no injuries were reported.

The crime remains under investigation.
