Gofundme account set up for victim of fatal motorcycle crash

A gofundme account has been set up to help with funeral expenses and other family needs for a 22-year-old Port Arthur man who died in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon.

Alejandro Hernandez was operating a motorcycle and lost control at approximately 3:52 p.m. in the 2400 block of 25th Street.

Port Arthur Police said he was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and died at the hospital. The crash is under investigation by PAPD’s Advance Accident Reconstruction Team.

Police did not release details on if Hernandez was alone, riding with a passenger or if he struck anything after losing control.

Hernandez was born in Atlanta and was a resident of Port Arthur for 21 years. He was a graduate of Memorial High School and was employed by Apache Builders as a scaffolding builder, according to his obituary.

The gofundme account is listed under the name Alejandro Hernandez.
