The Jefferson County Clerk’s Port Arthur office will reopen Monday to issue marriage licenses.

Anyone wishing to apply for a marriage license must appear in person by appointment only at the Port Arthur office, 525 Lakeshore Drive. To make an appointment, call 409-983-8340.

The office will be open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays until further notice. Requests can be processed with a check, money order or credit card or via escrow account.

All documents must be e-filed for processing and cannot be accepted from walk-in customers. The Beaumont office remains closed to the public until protective measures against coronavirus have been implemented.
