PORT NECHES — Jefferson County Republican Party candidates are joining together to sponsor a food drive Saturday at their Port Neches headquarters benefiting the Southeast Texas Food Bank.

“Coronavirus has taken a toll on families here in Jefferson County,” said Judy Nichols, Jefferson County Republican Party chairperson. “Our candidates are following President Trump’s lead in working to help those who are in need during this tough time.”

Nichols said the food drive would be a drive-thru, pop-the-trunk, no-contact event. Non-perishable donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the party’s headquarters, 2825 Nall St. in Port Neches.
