BASF donates remaining sanitizer to local hospitals

BASF Corporation is temporarily producing hand sanitizer at its facilities in Wyandotte, Michigan, Washington and New Jersey to meet the increased demands needed to safely combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
To date, the company produced more than 9,500 gallons of sanitizer with 800 gallons donated to the Texas Department of Emergency Management.
The remaining gallons were distributed across New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Louisiana, Ohio, California and Texas.
Dozens of gallons were donated to Texas communities close to BASF manufacturing sites including Beaumont and Port Arthur.
The Medical Center of Southeast Texas Port Arthur Campus, Baptist Hospital and the SETX Regional Operations Center received their donations Wednesday.
