PORT NECHES — The Effie & Wilton Hebert Public Library is reopening today (May 4) in Port Neches.
Beginning Monday, the library is opening with regular hours, which are 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Regular services available include book, DVD and Audiobook checkouts; computer usage and printing, information assistance, study space and more.
State health protocols restrict the library from hosting or providing space for group meetings, and building capacity is restricted to 25 percent of the total listed occupancy.
“Please note that staff are taking all required precautions to meet national, state and local health requirements and protocols,” Library Director Mark Durham said. “Social distancing will be required, and we want to remind all of our guests to likewise follow health requirements and best hygiene practices, consistent with your specific needs and circumstances.”
