The Port Arthur Greater Minority Chamber of Commerce has relocated to the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation building at 501 Procter St.
The Minority Chamber was previously located on Anchor Drive.
“After the loss of our previous office due to Hurricane Harvey, we are excited about relocating our office downtown into the EDC building,” chamber President Ike Mills said.
“Working with existing and new minority businesses, along with fostering entrepreneurial development efforts, will be the overall focus of the Minority Chamber. Industrial tax abatements, employment and minority contracting opportunities will continue to play a key role in the development/redevelopment of Port Arthur. We look forward to working on these issues with the city, county, state and other national entities to address the historical barriers that exist.”
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Minority Chamber office will be closed to the public until further notice.
