Margaret Grantham Roberts was born on September 6, 1924 in Natchez Mississippi.
She peacefully went to meet our Lord and Savior on April 19, 2020. Formerly from Port Arthur Texas, she was living near family in Cedar Park Texas.
Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Charles Lloyd Grantham, her late daughter Diane Singletary Simms and her late stepdaughter, Becky Hughes.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Charles Bruce Roberts, her surviving children: Margie Adams, David Grantham and Cynthia “Sam” Trahan, stepdaughters Amy Toone and Beth Eide, also her grandchildren, Melissa Trahan Pecorino, Katie Brisendine, David P. Grantham, Glenn Grantham, Shawn Singletary and Shane Singletary, Lisa Adams, James Adams and John Adams.
She also had several wonderful great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Before moving to Cedar Park, Margaret attended Gulfway Baptist Church in Port Arthur, Texas where she made and kept many good friends.
She loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church and attending Bible studies.
She retired from Texas State Optical many years ago and enjoyed her leisure time spent gardening and cooking.
Seeing her family meant the most to her. She loved it when children or the grands would come to visit and spend time with her.
She loved telling stories to the smaller ones.
A private service will be held on Wednesday at Cooke-Walden Davis Funeral home in Georgetown, Texas.
Burial will follow on Thursday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Port Arthur, Texas with family members attending.
Margaret will be greatly missed by her family.
