Gene Noble Durgin, 63, of Port Arthur, TX, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at Mid Jefferson Extended Care Hospital.

He was born in Lafayette, LA, and resided in Port Arthur since 2000.

Gene was a member of Saint John Catholic Church and attended Hebert Adult Center in Port Arthur for four years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oneil Durgin Sr. and Florence Curette Durgin and two brothers, Hubert and August Durgin.

Gene is survived by his siblings, Andrew Durgin (Deloris) of New Orleans, LA, Nora Clophus (Ernest), Rita Durgin Brown (James), Deloris Durgin Newsome and Charles Durgin, Sr. (Sandra) all of Port Arthur, TX, Shirley Durgin Smith of Wichita, KS, Effie Durgin May (Jessie) of Dallas, TX, Oneil Durgin, Jr. (Jean) of San Jose, CA; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Durgin and Lisa Simmons Durgin; a best friend, Willie Durio; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery, Lebeau, LA with Father James Fallon, SSJ, officiating.
