Port Arthur Police Lt. Jeremy Houston will be named the city’s new emergency management coordinator.

The City of Port Arthur will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. today (April 3) to announce the appointment and detail the continuation of the disaster declaration.

Additionally, Mayor Thurman Bartie will address the particulars of the Stay at Home ordinance and things that are unique to Port Arthur.

The conference will take place in front of City Hall.

The City Of Port Arthur is conducting an emergency meeting at 1 p.m. today (April 3) to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings.
